The Nature of Yellow
Yellow is often mistaken for brightness alone. But light is never passive. It changes what it touches.
As light moves through soil, shadow, and time, it transforms — reflecting the energy of the nature surrounding it.
When we taste through each shade of yellow, we discover its duality: freshness and warmth, tension and depth.
Kabinett as a Spectrum
Since 2008, Kabinett has been central to our work.
From vibrant everyday wines to some of Germany's most sought-after auction bottles, we've explored the full range of what Kabinett can become.
Rooted in Grand Cru terroirs and regenerative farming, A Collection of Yellows brings these ideas together for the first time.
Ölberg Kabinett Riesling
VDP.GROSSE LAGE
The most luminous expression of Yellow.
Perched high above the Rhine, Ölberg is a peaceful plateau where rabbits dart between blackberry bushes and vines are drenched in sunlight. Tucked away from the main paths, this vineyard has become one of our most personal places, where warm days and starry nights stretch long. Over the years, we began to call it Campingplatz.
Open and calm, with citrus zest, soft herbs, and white flowers.

Hipping Kabinett Riesling
VDP.GROSSE LAGE
A cooler, greener shade of Yellow.
Hipping is the heart of our vitiforest system — a dense, living microclimate surrounded by trees and bushes. As afternoon shadows blanket the vines, the fruit remains protected and cool, preserving acidity and structure year after year.
A grounding pause — flinty, electric and precise.

Rothenberg Kabinett Riesling
VDP.GROSSE LAGE
The earthy side of Yellow.
We fell in love with the silence of Rothenberg, a terraced vineyard above a bird sanctuary. Since taking over in 2022, we've restored its dry, eroded soils with sheep and pergola systems, turning it into a biodiverse, wild garden.
Salty, textured, untamed summer evenings.

Pettenthal Kabinett Riesling
VDP.GROSSE LAGE
Yellow at its deepest edge.
From the cooler, north-facing parcels of Pettenthal, this wine tells an unfolding story. Ten years ago, we replanted the Stumpfes Loch as the region's first high-density single-pole system, taking an early step towards a new understanding of the Roter Hang's most historic site. Now, as warmer temperatures place the south-facing side under stress, the north-facing slopes lead our vision for the future of Pettenthal.
Layered, resonant, and complex. Tropical brightness enriched by salinity and tension.
